History of the Golf Course:

Golf Through History. . .

The Battle of San Jacinto was fought on April 21, 1836 near present-day Deer Park, TX. This decisive battle of the Texas Revolution may have taken General Samuel Houston and the Texan Army across land now named in honor of their fight against Santa Anna’s Mexican Army, The Battleground at Deer Park opened one hundred and sixty years to the day, April 21, 1996, it was only fitting that an 18-hole golf course open with a nod to the battle that lasted just 18 minutes. 

Maintaining the historical connection, golfers will twice travel across the Pruitt Truss Bridge during their round. In 1892 Simeon Henry West founded the City of Deer Park, about that same time the Pratt Truss Bridge was erected over the Leon River in Cornell County. It is the only surviving bridge built in Texas by the Clinton Bridge and Iron Company of Iowa and 104 years after its initial construction was moved to be a signature piece of The Battleground at Deer Park on opening day.

Individual Registration is $70

Hole Sponsorship is $250 - have your banner, your table, and promotional materials at your sponsored hole for all participants to interact with.

Team Sponsorship is $500 - includes Hole Sponsorship + 4 individual registrations, pick your foursomes and have your banner, your table, and promotional materials at your sponsored hole for all participants to interact with.

Cancellation / Refund Policy:

The conference refund policy is as follows:

For participants (i.e. Investigators, Adjusters, Law Enforcement):
Full refunds will be provided up to 7 calendar days before the event.
Refunds up to 50% will be provided between 6 calendar days before the event and the day before the event.

No refunds can be provided for cancellations the day of the event.

For vendors:
We will apply your vendor payment to the next (2027) Conference as this will allow us to continue to keep your business listed in our vendor directory up to the following (2027) conference. Please note this does not guarantee the vendor fees will remain the same after the current (2025) conference. If a vendor cannot participate this year, this year’s vendor fee will be considered a credit to the next conference(s).

This refund policy includes individual cancellations, vendor cancellations, or total conference closure for any reason (i.e. COVID 19, natural disaster, local disaster, emergency declarations by local, state, or federal governments, etc.).
