Stay connected... stay informed...

North Texas IASIU has CANCELED the seminar due to the coronavirus.

2019 Seminar Schedule

TASIU Conference Seminar Flyer

These are strange and trying times. Professionally, most of us are unable to leave our homes so field investigations and in person interviews are not possible. Trying to work with children, pets, and others in the background can be trying! We can only pray and hope for all that we come through this safely and well. And we send our thoughts and prayers to all of those affected, around the world.

TASIU will have a virtual meeting hosted by NICB's Microsoft Teams platform from 9:00 am to 10:15 am in June and July on the 2nd Wednesday for both Houston and San Antonio members. We’ll be combining the meetings for Houston and San Antonio until we’re clear to meet in person again.  Each month will be virtual for the time being.

Our TASIU scholarship application opens April 1 and will be closing later than we usually do, which is June 15 this time, due to the uncertainty with the schools.  More scholarship details are in the newsletter.

What is insurance fraud?
Insurance fraud is a crime in Texas. A person commits insurance fraud if they intend to defraud an insurance company for payment of a claim by knowingly preparing or presenting false or misleading information.

What we do... train, network, educate

The TASIU carries out the IASIU mission locally by providing our members and antifraud partners with the training (Upcoming TASIU Training) and networking advantages they need to fight insurance fraud. The TASIU also educates the public about insurance fraud, its negative consequences to society, and how to recognize, prevent and report it.
